Grammy: Buhari told to give Wizkid, Burna Boy national awards

A chieftain of the Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Olusegun Bamgbose, has told President Muhammadu Buhari to honour Grammy Awards winners, Wizkid and Burna Boy

DAILY reported that self-acclaimed African giant, Burna Boy, won the award for the Best Global Album ‘Twice as Tall’, while Wizkid also claimed the Best Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album.

“It’s a thing of joy that two of our famous ians were recently honoured with Grammy award,” Bamgbose said.

“This is heartwarming. These ians are really great and notable Amadors of Nigeria. They have certainly done the nation proud at a very crucial time in the history of our nation.

“They deserve accolades from every Nigerian. This is a great challenge to our youths that they can equally excel in whatever they are doing as long as they are committed and harding.

“This should encourage them to put their talents at . Talent is a natural gift from God and it’s not based on your acquiring education.

“Our youths should wake up and look inward, there must be something in them that if properly utilized, can earn them a living.

“One will, however, urge President Buhari to promptly Honour these great Amadors of Nigeria with national awards, they deserve it.”
